Log in to add commentThis game will likely be the least expensive per hour game youve ever played for this amount of fun and amusement, if you enjoy the demo at all.
However, you risk having a lot of the puzzle solving trivialized if you watch too many lets-plays, tutorials, and/or this sub. Finding effective and efficient ways to do tasks is a significant part of this game, and although the fundamentals are rather simple, there is plenty of opportunity to learn and expand on your prior experiences.
This is my first logistics type game Ive played since SimCity 20 odd years ago. I sunk 10+ hours into the demo with our realizing and immediately bought the game. According to Steam, I have put in 185 hours in 3 weeks.. This game is super addictive and there is always something else to do. Highly recommend if you enjoy this type of game.
It will never go on sale, never had never will. I pirate every game in my life, and after playing factorio for 200 hours I bought it because I wanted live updates. I have played over 3000 hours, and have a low attention span. The next highest game maybe 180 hours, after that 40. I just recently got back into it because a friend of mine did. Amazing community, a million mods so it never gets boring, so much to do so much thinking. If you DONT like thinking, dont get this. If you like challenges then do!!!
Do try the demo and you will definitely see for yourself, but for me, I have played the game for more than 500 hours since 4 years ago before I even touched mods for it. Now Im on a huge 200 hour overhaul mod that is amazing, Space Exploration.
I have never played a game that had more bang for my buck, as you said, as Factorio.
