What to do if your graphics card is overheating
Check that the graphics card has sufficient airflow. For the graphics card and processor to function properly, free airflow is essential. The easiest way to check if the system has enough fresh air is to remove the side panel. If the hardware temperature drops, theres a ventilation issue. In this case:
Make sure there are no other cards installed directly under the graphics card (such as audio, networking, or a PCIe SSD). They may block the flow of fresh air to the graphics cards cooling system.
Try to organize cables and cable assemblies, if you havent already. They can also interfere with airflow inside the case.
Make sure the cases intake and exhaust fans provide roughly equal performance. Its best to install intake fans at the bottom of the case and exhaust fans at the top, as warm air rises.
